The Wethersfield Music Festival held on Saturday and organised by Matt Suckling and his sister Emma was a great success.
The event now in its third year was filled with great bands, lots of stalls and people having a lot of fun.
The festival raised a total of £1,770 for the Smile of Arran Trust and it is with great thanks to Matt and Emma including the team that donated their time to ensure that the event ran smoothly.
Monies raised from the festival will be donated to the music therapy service at Addenbrookes Hospital for children under going treatment on the wards at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. This service is not only for Children affected by a brain tumour but includes any child that it is felt will benefit from it.
In recent years, the music therapy services has gradually expanded and now helps aid the recovery and support the development of hundreds of children through four and a half days of music therapy each week. In developing the charities relationship with Addenbrookes Charitable Trust, it is seeking support to continue to develop the service to benefit around 500 children each year.
