Inspiration for musical theatre workshop

Inspiration for musical theatre workshop
30th December 2015 Steve Tosh

3 students from Samuel Ward Academy (Year 9, age 14) recently took part in an enterprise competition.

The group consisting of Amie Frere, Wez Ruthven and Reiss Mason, had an idea to run a Musical Theatre Workshop that took place on Sunday 13th December. The workship aimed at KS2 students was run to raise some money for The Smile Of Arran as Amie knew Arran through her drama group. Amie, Wez and Reiss organised the whole event and also taught the lessons.

On the day, they had around 28 children turn up for the workshop and raised over £320. The group would like to thank everybody who came to this workshop for being such enthusiastic and brilliant performers.

They would also like to thank Arran for inspiring them to do this and for helping them succeed in raising a lot of money (more than they expected!). Amie confirmed that as the workshop was such a hit, there may also be similar workshops in the future to raise even more money for Arran.

Again, thank you to everyone who helped make so much money for a fantastic charity and a fantastic boy.
