A group of friends took part in a 24-hour static bike challenge to raise money for the Smile of Arran. The event ran between Monday and Tuesday at the Halstead Resource Centre.

The event was organised by the National Citizen Service that included a cake sale and car wash.

The cyclists took it in shifts to complete the challenge.

Ellie Pike said that the final figure isn’t confirmed, however, on Monday and Tuesday alone we raised £366.72 and at the moment the current amount of money on the Just Giving page is £450!

The 24 hour bike ride was eventful and sometimes a little tiring, but we all enjoyed the challenge! We are so pleased that we have worked well as a team to pull off such a fund raiser and for such a great cause. We hope that the money we have raised will make a difference.
