A community came together this week in remembrance, but also in celebration, of its fundraising efforts nearly a year after the death of a much-loved teenager.

On Tuesday, staff, pupils and members of the public gathered at Hedingham School and Sixth Form to see a cheque of £2,611 handed to Arran’s mother, Alison, and hear about the fundraising efforts that had taken place in the last 11 months in memory of a quire remarkable 13-year old boy.

“It is amazing what our students and their families have done this year in memory of Arran,” said head teacher John Panayi.

Mr Panayi said: “There are so many students in the school who have wanted to commemorate his life. This says a lot about the impact he had on those who had the privilege to know him.”
